Seidr is an ancient Norse form of shamanism, and it is very powerful.

You’ll learn to work closely with Spirit through trance work, vision quests (utesita), oracular prophecy, embodiment, and journeying into the World of Spirit.

You’ll learn various forms of Seidr, such as:

  • Seidr for Healing

  • Seidr for Prophecy and Divination

  • Seidr for Soul Retrieval and Distant Healing

We all journey with Seidr in different ways, depending on our own skill-set, energy, ancestral wisdom, and how Seidr wants to work through us. Cissi will adapt the different forms of Seidr so as to make sure you can journey with it in a way that’s safe - both for you individually, and for the group, as Seidr is very powerful.

You’ll meet the Norse Goddesses: Freya, Hel, the Norns, Idun, Skadi, the Valkyries, Ran and her nine daughters.

You’ll deepen your relationship with the World Tree Yggdrasil, and journey into the underworld with the Dark Mothers—Ran and Hel—to find the golden medicine of your soul.

And most importantly—you’ll reconnect with the ancient feminine power that lives within you. She rises like an inner Valkyrie, radiating light and guiding you to your highest path—where you share your healing medicine, soul gifts, and ancestral wisdom with the world.

The path of the shamanic Priestess

This form of shamanism was practised by the Norse shamanic priestesses, known as Völvas. These wise women were healers, seers, and spiritual leaders of their communities.

Most völvas were women, and they dedicated their path to Freya —whose name means "Our Lady." She is not just a goddess of love, but the First Völva, the original shamanic-witch-priestess, who taught Odin the art of Seidr. She is a powerful goddess of magic, witchcraft, death and rebirth – the one that initiations us into our Seidr Magic.

She helps us step into our power and be like a light in the darkness.

What you need for the Level training:

  • A staff (made of wood, reaching to your heart chakra)

  • A shamanic drum

  • A handmade rattle, made from natural materials

If you’re travelling from overseas, you can borrow a staff during the England retreats.

Step into the Magic of Seidr in England

Having completed Level 1, you already know how to journey into the World of Spirit.

Now, through Seidr Magic, you’ll begin to embody the ancestral medicine and ancient feminine power that’s meant to work through you – and you’ll experience this when we meet up for our trainings at our retreat venue in Oxfordshire, England.

During these two retreats we dive deep into Seidr Magic, where you’ll be guided by the feminine in a way that’s completely beyond the mind’s ability to understand, or control. This is why you first needed to develop a strong foundation in Level 1, so that during Level 2 you can dive deep into the cauldron and let your feminine magic blossom and expand.

GODDESS MYTHS & DISCOVER YOUR WAY OF WORKING WITH SPIRIT

You’ll dive deep into various Goddess Myths, so they can become your teachers, such as Inanna, Persephone, Hel, Ran, Skadi, the Valkyries, Freya, Brigid, Idun, Saga and Mary Magdalene.

Each one reveals another face of the Ancient Mother, and as you get to know them, they will reveal their medicine for you.

This is a VERY intense module where you are introduced to different forms of Seidr, such as Healing Seidr, Soul Retrieval and Prophecy. You’ll also be working with arrowheads to help shift energy.

This module takes place at Charney Manor in Oxfordshire, and you will also make a day trip to Glastonbury (and spend time in Chalice Well Gardens, go up the Tor, and visit the White Spring).

Spiritual Mentoring & Shamanic Healing Sessions

As part of the Master Training you’ll receive 3 spiritual mentoring sessions (45 minutes) for free with someone from the Teacher Team. These will be scheduled at times that suit you and the teacher.

You are also required to book at least 3 shamanic healing sessions (up to 2hrs for each session) with one of the students on the teacher team (who are all certified Master Practitioners in Shamanic Energy Medicine). You’ll receive a heavily reduced price for these sessions (£350 as the combined price for all 3 sessions).

You can choose between two payment plans:

Option 1 – 11-Month Plan

  • Pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your place

  • Then pay £500/month for 10 months, starting in August 2026.

Option 2 – 19-Month Plan

  • Pay a non-refundable deposit, which also counts as your first month’s payment

  • Then pay £278/month for 18 months, starting in June 2026.

Please note: Food, accommodation, and the Glastonbury trip are not included in the training price and are paid separately.

Course Access and Preparation

You’ll receive the first part of your online course material in early summer 2026.
This includes approximately 12–14 hours of foundational content, which must be completed before the first live module in September 2026.

In early September 2026, you’ll also receive the Seidr Magic online course material (around 7–8 hours), which must be completed before the first Seidr online module in October 2026.

Cissi Williams

Cissi trained in Osteopathy and Naturopathy in London (she qualified in 1997 with First Class Honours), in NLP and Hypnosis (she’s an NLP Trainer).

She’s done various shamanic trainings, such as from the Norse, Celtic and the Incas wisdom traditions, having studied with many different teachers, including from Four Winds Society, Spirit of the Incas, Glastonbury Goddess Temple, Q’ero wisdom keepers in Peru (Don Fransisco, Don Alejandro and Dona Maria), and she’s been inspired by many shamanic teachers such as Zindra Andersson, Linda Fitch, HeatherAsh Amara, Alberto Villoldo, Sandra Ingerman, Jane Burns, Evelyn Rysdyk and Asha Frost.

 

Her NLP teachers include John Grinder, Carmen Bostic St Clair, Michael Carrol, and David Shepherd, and she’s been deeply influenced by spiritual teachers such as Marianne Williamson, Neale Donald Walsch, Denise Linn, Louise Hay, Tosha Silver, Gregg Braden, Chameli Ardagh, Andrew Harvey, Caroline Myss, Meggan Watterson, and Norse Scholar Maria Kvilhaug.

Cissi has given more than 25,000 healing sessions, helping her clients, patients and students tune into their inner wisdom and connect with Spirit’s guidance.   • Once you’ve been certified you’ll have life-time access to your initial online course material that formed your home-study pack for Level 1, so you can revisit the lessons, meditations, guided shamanic journeys, and healing processes at any time.

    You also keep your access to some of the other course material.

    The advanced material for Level 2 you lose access to after the training. It is there only to support your learning for Level 2.

  • All deposits are non-refundable.

  • Yes, you can pay in 11 or 19 monthly instalments (the deposit counts as the first instalment).

  • The time commitment is 450 hours.

    This training is very intense as it not only requires you to learn new material, but also invites you to dive deep into the cauldron of healing, transformation, magic and rebirth.

  • The pre-requisites for the Master Training is that you have a Diploma in Shamanic Energy Medicine, or are a Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner, through Nordic Light Academy of Energy Medicine, or one of our Teachers.

    You can however, secure your place on the Master Training once you are enrolled on the Level 1 Training (Diploma Level), or if you are enrolled on a Shamanic Energy Medicine Training with one of our Teachers (who follow a similar curriculum as Nordic Light’s Level 1).

  • The number of students will be limited in such a way that we can all safely journey into the Sacred Cauldron of Transformation, Magic and Rebirth together.

    We make sure students are well supported by the Teacher Team, hence we limit the numbers of students.

    The group is a mix of new students, and also students who are already qualified Master Practitioners who are journeying into the cauldron of Seidr Magic again, as each spiral takes us deeper.

    Hence, the cauldron is VERY strong, as the group is firmly committed to awakening this ancient feminine power and magic within us.

    So be prepared to dive DEEP.

  • If you miss one or two of the online dates, then you can watch the replay videos afterwards, so you can catch up that way. You then also have to book a private mentoring session with someone from the Teacher Team, who will then support you in moving through the exercises of what has been taught on the day you missed. Each missed day equals 4 hours of missed supervised teaching, and you can book these 4-hour ‘catch-up’ sessions with one of the teachers (price is only £100 for a 4-hour slot).

    Each module has to be passed in order to move into the next module.

    You must attend both face-to-face modules - if you miss any of these dates then it’s better to wait with doing the training to another year.

  • Attending the live modules are mandatory for both being allowed to continue the training, and for certification.

    The live modules are deeply transformational, healing and magical - and during these modules you’ll also become initiated into the ancient wisdom of the Divine Mothers of Darkness & Light, so they’ll be your mentors after these modules.

    This is something that has to be experienced live, on site, and cannot be bypassed.

  • Everyone who wants to be certified must do the exams.

  • This training is for all who feel called to awaken their inner feminine wisdom, magic and power.

    An absolute key ingredient is that you are willing to heal deeply, willing to witness your own shadows and inner wounds, and willing to take responsibility for your own healing, transformation and awakening.

    This training is VERY intense and you need to be committed to put in the work needed to move through it.

    You also need to be willing to learn how to journey into the World of Spirit in this shamanic way, and be able to receive feedback so you can grow and develop as a practitioner.

  • The minimum age for the training is 23.

  • Yes, as part of the training you’ll be required to have a minimum of three private shamanic energy medicine sessions during the training with one of the Teacher Trainer Students (who are already certified by Cissi as Master Practitioners in Energy Medicine). These sessions will be at a heavily discounted rate (£350 for all 3 sessions, which can be paid in monthly instalments).

    These sessions will help you to go much deeper in your own healing journey, and it will also give you a deeper understanding of how it feels to be taken through a shamanic energy medicine session in a fluid and intuitive way.

    Of course, during the training you will both give and receive many sessions with your fellow students - which is wonderful, and how you’ll learn. AND it’s also highly useful to receive sessions from those practitioners who have more experience in this way of working with shamanic energy medicine.

  • No, this is a very unique training, weaved from Cissi’s extensive experience in working with the body (osteopathy), mind (NLP, hypnosis and A Course in Miracles), and Soul and Spirit (shamanic energy medicine wisdom from the Incas, Norse and Celtic).

    So you will need to do Level 1, or having completed a Practitioner Training in Shamanic Energy Medicine with an approved Teacher, who is following a similar curriculum as the one taught at Nordic Light Academy of Energy Medicine.
